If you’re a guy who appreciates an older woman though, no need to fly to Hollywood, there are cougars prowling your very own college campus. Fayr Barkley, a Human Behavior Research Expert and cougar expert, typically, a cougar is a woman who is over the age of 40, who dates a man 7 or more years her junior.“But what we are seeing is more and more women in their 20's calling themselves cougars because they relate to the confidence that a cougar woman has who ‘knows what she wants and goes for it,’” Barkley says.Sorry for the Life Advice, but the Age Gap Issue has ended up close to my heart.
But just know that soon she will be in college and want to explore so the relationship might not last. I love this guy who's 5 years older than me and he loves me back. If you still have questions just ask I am a mom and a very protective one,my 3 sons are very protective of their sister,so with that in mind if an older man wants to date my very young daughter..better not touch her.
You will be entering the work force and may meet all the new girls coming in to work and the old ones. But really, when I said I wasn't interested in her I really am not haha. my experience is that I could've but didn't, way back when... a couple of years makes a big difference developmentally whereas at my age (40) a 5 or even ten year gap, sometimes you find there's little difference. I am strictly against college guys dating lil gals in high school..not legal to date a minor and even though my daughter is in college now if a man in his 20's started having an interest in her when she was still in high school..well,her brothers are big guys who don't need anyone messing with their dear sister.
Regardless of which type of kitty a woman may be, Barkley says any woman with the right attitude can be a cougar.
“A woman who is well defined, strong, flexible, confident and goes after what she wants but can still remain a lady, is worthy of the cougar name,” Barkley said.
They have been together for more than two years now.
